A picnic, a proposal, and a promise. These two booked their destination wedding and then went shopping for the ring. As luck would have it, the ring came in the week before we were scheduled to shoot the engagement video, so the groom surprised her with the proposal!

We feel so incredibly lucky to be a part of this day, and we wish them the best of luck in Mexico, August 2018!

Jessica and Chris are among the more composed, successful and beautiful couples we've ever worked with. And tall--I spent most of their wedding day lifting a 4-lb camera above my head just to have it at eye-level with them. Their city-chic wedding in the heart of Chinatown was tasteful and so much fun. I'll never forget the gentleman passing on the sidewalk during the ceremony, giving a big thumbs up to Chris. I had to stop myself from laughing (or the camera would shake) during Jessica's epic mic-drop at the end of her speech. Congrats to you both!

Two things always stick out in my mind when I think of this wedding: 1. That gorgeous sunset silhouette and 2. Alex's whispered words of encouragement to Britt when she starts her vows. We didn't catch it at the time, but I heard the audio during editing and teared up. These guys are so supportive of each other, and still so in love after 10 years together.

Don't miss the maid-of-honour's AMAZING musical parody speech--in full at the end of the video!

This colourful celebration was filled with games, laughter and love! By the end of the night, our faces hurt from smiling at all the fun everyone was having. It was the first (and only) time I'd ever heard of a "wedding parade" and dubious though we were, it was a blast!! Joanna and Nick, along with their wedding party, walked from their condo near the waterfront to their venue, The Richmond, stopping at all their favourite spots along the way. What a creative way to celebrate their relationship and all its milestones.

Joanna handmade every single detail of this wedding, from the felt bouquets to the altar and the hand-written menu cards for each guest. The amount of time and effort that went into making every piece of it ensured this wedding was one-of-a-kind.

Congratulations to you both!

Samie and Luke are one of the many couples that make our job the BEST job ever. It's so exciting coming out of an initial client meeting thinking, "I want to be friends with them!" It's even better when we actually become friends with them.

These guys are world travellers, minimalists and Caesars on Sunday mornings. Samie is a curator of concert tickets, good friends and good taste. Luke is the strong, silent type. Their wedding included rose gold accents, street food and hundreds of candles for a soft and intimate reception. It's been a pleasure to tell their love story.

Kim and Hans' video was one of my favourites from 2017. Their beautiful story and the touching words from the groom's sister brought tears to my eyes every time, and made editing difficult. I love how playful they are with each other and how much love surrounds them. Kim's dog Ollie was great company all day and very well behaved!

We wish them all the best.

She's Afghani-Canadian and he's American. Seeing their families come together in a multicultural celebration of their love was pure magic. The day incorporated elements from both traditions, and Wychwood Barns, with its exposed brick and enormous skylights became one of our favourite venues.

"A great flame follows a little spark, and that night that they met, you could tell that there was a little spark between them. And I think that little spark has grown into quite a large flame here tonight."

We make every effort to meet our couples before the wedding to get to know them well, in order to create a video that represents them as individuals and as a couple. While we didn't have the privilege of meeting Matt before the wedding day (due to his busy schedule), when we did meet him, he was so easy to be around. Kaitlyn spoke so highly of her fiancee and we felt like we'd known him a long time.

These guys are relationship goals. They've supported each other through some big life changes and come out of it even stronger. They're both hard working, charming and impossibly good-looking. We just loved traipsing around the Penryn Park golf course with them, chasing the afternoon light to get that gorgeous silhouette shot. We wish them many years of happiness!

It turned out to be a drizzly November day when these two tied the knot--but the smiles and laughter were warm enough to make up for it!

Sabina and Rob have a beautiful, simple love story: boy meets girl, they fall in love, book a church and get married. We loved how easy, silly and comfortable they were during their portrait session, and how their families fit so easily together. We loved how much thought they put into their food (Food Dudes are amaaazing) and it was evident they'd spent a lot of time and effort making every detail perfect. It was a big, traditional Italian reception and we were so happy to be a part of it!

“When they first met, Joel liked that Rachel was bubbly and easy to talk to. She had personality, and he liked her eyes. Rachel was was attracted to Joel’s kindness, when he offered her a glass of wine after a particularly stressful day. And she also though he was pretty cute.”

Rachel was living in the states when we talked to her on the phone, and she become the first bride to hire us to film her wedding--for that she holds a special place in our heart. It was a rainy day and their ceremony was moved from the lakeside gazebo to the indoor reception hall, but there were not grumpy faces--only joking about an old wives tale about putting a broomstick in a tree to ward off rain.

From the heirloom chuppah to the brooch that's been worn by every bride in the family for generations, the personal details in this wedding blew us away. Congrats to you both, and welcome (back) to Canada!

We only met once before the wedding, yet this celebration felt so right for Taylor and Fraser. A manor house with a tent reception, it was at once fancy and laid back. A traditional Scottish hand-fasting ceremony complete with a bagpiper was followed by an informal cocktail hour with lawn games. These two are absolutely adorable together--I love all the forehead kisses. They were game for anything we suggested, from running down a hallway in slow motion, to standing on a balcony for an epic drone shot. Congratulations, you guys!
