You’ve decided to elope—how wonderful!

Whether it’s just the two of you, or you’re inviting a handful of loved ones to witness, a small wedding is an excellent way to ensure you put the emphasis on your love, and have the best day ever.

But with no time constraints or expectations, where do you begin to plan?

1.     Pick the time for the ceremony, and then go from there

The only thing you HAVE to do on your wedding day is actually get married. So decide what time you want to do that, based on when the sun sets, the officiant’s availability and the other activities you’d like to do.

2.     Choose a venue

You have unlimited options here. With no guests, you don’t have to worry about seating charts, meal selections or speeches.

So do you want to be lakeside or in the heart of the city? Do you prefer indoors or out? Winter or summer?

3.     Think of your favourite things to do together and spend the day doing that

Do you guys like to play video games or going hiking?

Do you like to try new foods or explore new neighbourhoods?

Would you prefer to get drunk and play strip Trivial Pursuit?

Doing your favourite activities together is a pretty awesome way to spend your best day ever.
