SAmi + Quinton | Peterborough wedding at Farmhill weddings
Late summer countryside wedding
Oh, I could gush for a while about this wedding! We loved this venue when we shot here last year for Meagan + Taylor’s wedding, and we were thrilled to return. We had a chance to speak to the owner, Jenn, who told us she was a photographer for 10 years before she built this venue on her family farm, and honestly, I’m not surprised. The design is flawless.
The venue | Farmhill weddings
This venue was built with wood beams and light.
The focal point is the large window on the south wall of the venue.
Brick wall to the west and glass garage doors on the east combine form and function seamlessly.
Two bars on either side of the north end ensure guests won’t wait long for a beverage, and string lights drape the wooden beams.
All of this careful design means that the live-edge family-style dinner tables need only be sparsely decorated. Our bride and groom chose white draping linens as a runner down the centre of each table, white votive candles and gold cutlery. Pink and white roses finished the simple and stunning look.
The photographers | Wind & Willow Studios
We first worked with Tori and Andrea of Wind & Willow in 2018. It was the day before our first wedding anniversary, and we were about to fly our to Rome the next day for a family vacation. The wedding was Tihana + Jason’s at Calamus Estate Winery. Back then the girls were known as Photodot Images and we hit it off right off the bat.
These ladies are just a dream to work with. Friendly, funny, humble and utterly masterful at their craft. Every show is intentional; every moment is valued. We cannot recommend them highly enough, both on a professional and personal level.
highschool sweethearts
When Sami first emailed us, she told us she’d worked with Tori of Wind & Willow Studios for a while, and Tori had recommended us for this wedding.
(If you don’t remember, we shot both Tori’s and her sister, Beth’s, weddings)
And on the wedding day, we noticed so many personal touches in the decor, like our pictures on the seating chart, and on the back of each name card, a personal memory with each of the guests, including us! Mine said: Our first emails when we were both gushing over how much we love Tori.
Sami and Quinton truly seem tailor-made for one another. The kindness in their words and the way they smile at one another makes it clear they’re a perfect match, even to someone who just met them.
Congratulations Sami and Quinton!
