Same-day edit | krysta + louie | 05.26.2018, London, Ontario

Late last year, Dennis and I decided to start offering same-day edit videos as an add-on to our basic package. It was a scary thought. 

For those of you who aren't familiar, a same-day edit is shot and edited on the wedding day, and premiered at the reception for the guests to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look. It gives them a glimpse into the morning's preparations, and a new perspective on the ceremony. It is sensational when you see one for the first time--the thought that the entire video was produced that day is impressive. 

For videographer, it's challenging and a little nerve-wracking! There are so many things that could go wrong, and the project needs to be completed on a very tight deadline. But we had a lot of requests for it last year and we had to turn those weddings down since we didn't offer the service. So we decided to jump ahead and get started. We bought a MacBook Pro and did our research. Then we reached out to Krysta and Louie to ask them if they'd allow us to give it a try at their wedding. 

Here's the result! I hope you like it. I really enjoyed the challenge and the process, and the sense of accomplishment is wonderful.
