Naomi + Steven | eglinton grand in torontO
joyful and dramatic
I really thought, in our sixth year in business, that not much would surprise us anymore, but this wedding had a few firsts for us. First, the mother of the bride was the lead photographer—that’s why you’ll see her in some of our shots. This actually ended up being very efficient, since she wasn’t shy to tell everyone what to do.
Second, the bride and groom performed the first number with the band! They’re both performers and wanted to put their own spin on the reception.
THIRD! Two bridesmaids surprised Naomi with a face painter, who set up shop later in the evening and added a bit of whimsy to the party.
The Venue | eglinton grand
It was also our first time shooting at Eglinton Grand, which has always been on our to-do list. The many levels aren’t kind to those hauling tons of equipment, like us, but there’s plenty of space and variety for guests. The dramatic lighting and curtain reveal really sets the scene for a first dance.
Congratulations, Naomi and Steven. We hope you had a wonderful day!
