Date night | DISTILLERY DISTRICT, TORONTO | February 3, 2018

It was a COLD night, but we decided to head down to the Distillery District to check out the Light Festival. It's the second year they've put it on, but last year we didn't really get to check it out, since both times we visited the area, we were shooting weddings. We weren't super impressed by it (it's no Christmas Market) but we had some fun with the cameras, experimenting with light and with a prism.

After that, we headed to Ascari Enoteca for a late dinner reservation. Around this time last year, a client gave us a cash tip and directed us to use it for a date night—we thought it was about time we put it to use. The service was excellent here, and we loved the salumi plate so much we ordered it for an appetizer and for dessert. Also fantastic were the arancini, the spaghetti alla carbonara and the pappardelle con coniglio.
