Romantic double ceremony on the waterfront

Brittney and Ashvin had a beautiful day, if a hot one. They celebrated both cultures with a short Hindu ceremony followed by an English vow ceremony, complete with multiple outfit changes. It was a huge pleasure to witness all the love from their friends and family, and to document it for them.

It was our first time shooting at this stunning venue—we’ve been once before when our friends snuck in a covid wedding when the restrictions were briefly lifted a few years ago. But were were eager to be back to work, and it didn’t disappoint.

I love the ceremony space overlooking a pond. There’s also a short trail down to a dock by the water that’s great for a quick photo and video session.

The reception hall is intimate and symmetrical (this might seem like a small thing, but from a framing/cameras/design point of view, it’s worth noting). The onsite team is wonderful to work with, and the nearby vineyard is an easy choice for a portrait session.

Also exciting was getting work once more with the talented Ms. Lauren Garbutt.
She shot our wedding nearly six year ago now, and we’ve enjoyed working with her periodically and keeping in touch.
