Avree + sean | a romantic glamping adventure

One of the first things that Avree and Sean told us when we met them over Zoom was that they had a doc named Mac. He was clearly an important member of their family and they were bummed that he wouldn’t be able to make the trip from their home in BC for the wedding Ontario. They moved out there two years ago but came back to get married because, as they say, “it’s easier for two people to travel across country than 100.”

The venue | whispering springs

We sure are grateful they made that choice. This was our third wedding at Whispering Springs (see also Breanne and Cole, and Cecelia and Alex) and we will always jump at the chance to return. The staff here are so helpful and generous with their time, always jumping at the chance to golf-cart us around the sprawling grounds. The forest chapel is a bit of a hike with all of our gear, so we’re happy to accept.

The Planner | kathryn biso

This was our first time working with Kat, and what a pleasure it was. I had forgotten to remind her of one of the finer points on our contract in advance, but she was happy to accommodate our request on the spot (hot tip for those planning a wedding: make sure your vendors eat when you do). We had some technical difficulties with the audio but she was calm under pressure, even when we messed around with her schedule, and managed to get everything back on track—not an easy task.
