We actually swooned when we heard the details of the wedding that Ashleigh and Isaac had planned in their backyard: lasagnas and pig roast made with love by their family, homemade pies, a brand new fire pit that they built themselves, flowers freshly cut from the garden that morning, lawn games, and dancing under the stars. We adore the details that make each wedding unique and this one had more and I could count. We loved the intimacy of the backyard setting and the photographer said we should try to book more weddings in Peterborough—this was a typical wedding for her. Noted!

We met Ashleigh last summer when she was the hairstylist for one of our brides, and we were so pleased when she got in touch. We get most of our jobs through referrals which means so much to us. We enjoyed hearing about their wedding plans and getting to know them.

It rained off and on during the day but the bride and groom were down to walk in the rain to get the shots they wanted. It makes for some rich colours and a moody backdrop in this film, which we love. We worried that we wouldn’t get that bonfire shot that they wanted, but we squeezed it in.
