Amanda + Karl | A rainy country wedding
a family affair
Those of you who know me (Lindsay) know that wedding films is my side gig, and that I’ve been in my current day job for over two years now. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris Day and meeting his lovely wife, Cindi, many times. They often brag about their twin girls and how smart they both are.
So I was beyond honoured to be invited to the wedding of their daughter Amanda, and even more pleased when they asked me to film it. Everyone’s always concerned that I won’t be able to enjoy myself at the wedding, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The videographer and photographer get to be there for so many moments that others miss, like the pre-dinner hike to the ridge that I learned about five minutes before it happened. I may have been concerned for my safety on the way down, but it was totally worth it for that view.
Thank you to Amanda and Karl (and Chris and Cindi) for trusting me with this special day, and for including me in the first place!

I filmed this one all on my own, and I was a little concerned that it might be very spread out and I’d be carrying my gear all over the place, but the space is absolutely perfect. The tastefully decorated ceremony area, the string lights over the dance floor which create a delicious bokeh in the background of every night shot, and the cutest little bridal suite you ever saw make this a great spot for 200 of your closest friends and family.
And shout out to venue owner, Alex, who was a dream to work with.

I liked Leah’s vibes just based off of her IG grid alone, but working with her was so much fun. I reached out beforehand to introduce myself, told her I wasn’t from the area, and she gave me some pointers about the venue. She also kindly held my camera on the way down from the ridge in case I slipped. If Central Texas was my market, I’d say I look forward to working with her again!
Congratulations Amanda + Karl!
