Romantic countryside wedding

I’ve been raving about this wedding for months since Alix + Dalton got married. The venue, the weather, the food, the sunset and, last but not least, the stunning and very excitable bride and groom. This day was so much fun from start to finish, and I think you’ll see that in the film.

the venue | Hollowbrook Highlands

If you’re looking to get married near Peterborough, we strongly recommend checking out Hollowbrook Highlands. They’re a brand new, family-owned venue with some really exciting plans coming up. The food is cooked over the fire outside; there’s a pizza oven; and most importantly, there are plenty of places for a photo op.

I think my favourite feature (after the pizza) is the hilltop ceremony space. There’s a gorgeous arch at the altar which our couple decorated with some rustic florals and greenery. They lined the aisle with more flowers and I think the long walk up to the ceremony was actually very cinematic.

The reception was in the immaculately decorated barn, and the venue would like me to mention that the tent you see in the video where the dancing took place was a COVID-era addition only. The dancefloor is usually stationed in the barn with the bar and the dinner.
